The Isley Brothers are an American soul group originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, that began in 1954 as four young brothers performing gospel music until the death of one brother that same year. The remaining trio—consisting of O'Kelly Isley Jr., Rudolph Isley, and Ronald Isley—initially disbanded but then reformed, sparking a decades-long career that also featured a number of other musicians.
